Scottish blackface sheep grazing on a misty Kintyre hillside at dawn

Kintyre · Argyll · Scottish wool, refined

Putting value back into mountain wool.

Fleeced is a small Scottish wool studio on the Mull of Kintyre, working with Scottish Blackface and other hardy hill fleece long deemed worthless. We design and make bespoke bags, outdoor pieces and travel accessories — fully traceable from croft to finished piece — for whisky distilleries, farm shops and considered retailers, paying fair prices to the small flocks that grew the wool.

Bags & Goods

Bespoke bags and travel accessories, designed and made in Scotland.

Made for distilleries, farm shops and retailers stocking natural, well-considered things. Commissions welcomed.

What we stand for

Beautiful, useful things made from the wool no one else wants.

Undervalued Wool

Scottish Blackface and other hardy hill fleece — coarse, characterful, long deemed worthless at market.

Small Flocks

Working with neighbouring crofters whose clip is too small for the commercial wool board.

Fair Value

Paying farmers properly for fleece that would otherwise be burned or buried.

Made in Scotland

Designed and made in our Kintyre workshop. Undyed, fully traceable, built to last and to age well.

A sense of place

The end of the road, the Atlantic over the hill.

Fleeced is a small studio and family flock on the eastern side of Kintyre, sheltered from the Atlantic by the spine of the peninsula. We pay fair prices to neighbouring hill farmers, and finish every piece by hand in Argyll.

Also from the flock

Small-batch yarn, released once a year.

Alongside the collection, we spin a small annual run of single-flock yarn — carefully blended to celebrate the natural qualities of the wool and the landscape it grew on.
